Getting Around Mishima and Public Transportation

In addition to its Shinkansen Station, Mishima is also served by two other train lines, the JR Tokaido Line, as well as the Izuhakone Railway Line. There are also city buses and taxis to transport people all over the region with ease. Highway buses also travel regularly to the city.

Mishima Discount Bus Pass – "Mishimaru Kippu"

Another great way to see more sights around Mishima is by bus. And should you intend to travel to more than one destination, an unlimited bus pass, - "Mishimaru Kippu" – is available at a reasonable cost. For only ¥900 for adults, and ¥450 for children, you can ride freely from location to location all day. Holders of this pass can also receive special discounts at select sightseeing destinations and restaurants in Mishima.

Please note that this pass is valid for the Tokai Bus Orange Shuttle. Other bus companies and routes are not included.

Mishima by Bicycle

Exploring Mishima by bicycle is a wonderful way to see its winding streets, quiet waterways and ancient shrines and temples. Visitors to the city can choose from two bicycle options to best fit their touring style.

1. Seseragi Bicycle Rentals (Free Rental)

This free bicycle rental service is a healthy and environmentally friendly way to see the city center. You can pick up your rental bicycle at three locations around the city, and drop it off at any of the same three locations.

2. 'Tabi Chari' Bicycle Rentals

For those looking to explore beyond the city center or into the surrounding foothills, a power assisted bicycle is the perfect choice.

Where to rent a 'Tabi Chari'
  • 1. Go to the Mishima Tourist Information located on the south side of Mishima Station to register and pay.
    *Please note that you will also pay a ¥1000 insurance fee at this time. This fee will be refunded provided the bicycle is returned on time and undamaged.
  • 2. After registering, you will proceed to Rakujuen Park, Mishima Station Gate to pick up your rented bicycle.
Rental Fees
  • 3 hours ¥500 (¥100 for each additional 30 minutes)
  • 1 day ¥1,000
